Nitya Attaluri
Nitya is a passionate environmental advocate and the President and Founder of "Fashionably Sustainable". Since middle school, Nitya has exemplified dedication to service, earning the prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award every year for her contributions.
Nitya has honed her expertise through participation in world-class programs like Sustainable Summer at Cornell University and the Columbia Climate School in the Green Mountains. These experiences allowed her to explore the economic aspects of sustainability and craft innovative strategies to address the global climate crisis.
With a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, Nitya leads efforts to educate, inspire, and empower individuals to adopt sustainable practices and create a greener future.
Kaela Palmet
Kaela is a Founder and President of "Fashionably Sustainable" and has dedicated much of her time to sustainability efforts. She volunteers at Harvesters, supporting its mission to fight hunger and promote food security. Two summers ago, she attended a week-long hunger summit at Harvesters, exploring food waste and its impact on both local and global food systems.
Additionally, Kaela expanded her horizons by traveling to Amsterdam for a sustainability program focused on the global impacts of climate change and sustainable living. Through lectures, field studies, and collaborative projects, she deepened her understanding of sustainability worldwide, exploring concepts like the circular economy, urban farming, and eco-conscious design. Together, these experiences have strengthened her dedication to addressing climate change and fostering sustainable communities.
